James has been working within Abbey MAT for twelve years, firstly in the pastoral team at Abbey Grange C of E Academy and now as a senior leader at Lightcliffe Academy, whilst also more recently supporting all the schools within the trust as Attendance Lead. He has a wealth of experience of supporting students pastorally and helping them overcome barriers to learning. James is delighted to be able to work strategically across the trust, collaborating with colleagues in each of our schools to ensure effective systems are in place to support excellent rates of attendance for all pupils. James also leads the Abbey MAT safeguarding collaborative, bringing together Designated Safeguarding Leads from across the trust on a regular basis to constantly drive the highest standards of safeguarding for our pupils through sharing good practice and policy development.
